I agree, the presentation works well and it's good to have a bit of bombast back among the UK news channels but in terms of content it's not great. This channel is supposed to be appointment to view but is anyone really making time in their schedule to watch Sharon Osborne and Jeremy Kyle's views on the days news? Piers's show is the only one to really fit the bill but why are they spending the first 2 episodes dragging out a Trump interview with little of note in it? Piers needs to have 3 or 4 topics and different guests in the studio to give the show some pace and interest, it's been a very slow watch so far.

We'll see if Piers picks up now the Trump interview is finally done but I feel Sharon Osborne is not going to last long on this channel and the schedule needs some work. Personally I think they need a nightly political show, something a bit Peston-esque, that could fit in the 10pm time slot with someone with a bit of gravitas. I'd also give Tom Newton Dunn an extra hour and move Piers to 9pm.

I listened to it on Talk Radio rather than the TV for most of it and regardless of the narcissism, the clips from the comedy shows were hard to distinguish and yesterday when they used a sound effect for Meghan Markle, the joke didn't translate to radio.

It's a show designed for television in three markets, but has been lumped onto a radio station.  The most surreal thing was that Talk Radio had a travel bulletin between the commercial breaks during Piers' show!

Yes I was thinking on this. Obviously no need at 8pm because that’s basically an hour long News programme, but the timing of the headlines is very strange. 

During the day they run every hour on the hour, like most radio stations? Then they do one at around 8:55 and another at 10pm - that one means that hour doesn’t get underway till almost 5 past.

I know they’re basically a simulcast, but it would make more sense not to repeat Piers on the radio at 11pm.

And the show is already on YouTube via the Piers Morgan Unleashed channel and it's on the TalkTV app on Fire TV by 11pm.

The most logical slot for the Piers repeat is at midnight which would allow Petrie to do 1-5am without the need for The Talk repeat at 4am and for Daisy/James to broadcast from 10-midnight.

However they may need the 11pm and 4am pre-records for testing the gallery and studio maintenance.

Considering Sky is only in 30% of Aussie homes V Foxtel and it’s free to Air coverage is only 30% nationally (only in smaller markets and cities not big Ones) and adjusted for the UK being 2.6x larger than Australia’s population

The 129,000 AU figure makes Piers more popular in Oz than UK. Despite a much lower level marketing blitz

Jim Waterson has posted the ratings for GB News and TalkTV in peak hours on Tuesday.  Quite a sharp drop for Piers Morgan.

Piers is the Prince of Spin, a news channel showing rolling news isn’t comparable in the slightest to a show that is opinion.

As I’ve said, he has form for doing this. Used to use GMB’s peak to say they beat BBC Breakfast even though Breakfast won overall.
