It was a mistake having Piers in the studio intercepted with the Trump interview IMO and I agree he needs someone to bounce off. I think a slow news day or week could be a chord to watch.
The radio stream is about a minute(ish) behind the TV feed.
Talk have managed to sell TV & Radio AD space simultaneously. Something GB News have been unable to do after many months on air, a good sign.

Jeremy Kyle just mentioned about representing the rest of the country, seemed to be another dig at GB News which launched on the premise of providing a voice and news from outside London, but has concentrated on culture wars instead.

On the same device, talk tv sounds much better through radio player than YouTube.
Can't say I can name the two people speaking at the moment, but their discussion of the MoS Angela Raynor story is intellectually bereft. Time to turn off.
I've never been convinced that Piers is actually that great at being a TV presenter, and I think it shows now he's on his own again - there are little things that TV presenters do which you don't notice when a presenter does them, but are conspicuous when they are absent. They're not huge things, just little bits like saying 'hello/welcome back' after a break and 'goodbye' at the end of the programme, or just generally being welcoming/approachable enough to make you want to sit down and watch, but I think it's noticeable when they're not done and programmes that don't do them can feel a bit strange as a result.
On GMB I don't think you'd really notice that Piers didn't do those bits unless you were deliberately looking out for them. If you look at clips on YouTube though it does become a bit more apparent; there are some videos of GMB closes at the end of extended programmes where the co-presenter is wrapping the programme up neatly with 'ITV News coverage throughout the day, we're back tomorrow' etc, and he's just sternly staring down the camera not saying a single word.
Just watching the clip posted of the opening of his first show a few pages back and the absence of those little TV presenter things feels really obvious. I know he's not a warm and cuddly presenter but the open is completely devoid of any warmth. He sounds annoyed and angry just having to introduce the programme, and as a viewer I don't think it makes you want to sit down and watch.
The whole thing is a bit reminiscent of that period of time where the first half hour of GMB was basically just Piers ripping the running order to shreds and monologuing. I know there was some defence of this approach when they started doing it over on TVF, but I think even the producers eventually realised it didn't work, as they introduced the news half hour at 6am and then put some debates/discussion in to break up the monologues and generate a bit of actual discussion. They were still hopeless with timekeeping, but it was a much better approach than the initial execution!
As for the studio, yes it's nice but it seems a bit of a waste to have spent so much on it and then only use it for an hour a day. The virtual studios aren't awful but they don't look fantastic and do look poor when directly compared to Piers' studio.

So Daisy gave out the phone number, text etc and at 10.50pm still hasn't taken a single call or read a text.
Now on to repeated recorded content at 11pm. The big loser with this arrangement is the Talk Radio listener, not there were that many but I imagine they are finding alternatives.
