Mic issues with Nicola Thorp.
Mic fail out of the 21:45 ads.
As seen on BBC Newswatch

This is the most civilised debate on a right-wing skewed channel to date.  Even The Five on Fox goes too far at times.

I think Butterworth is irritating enough to be talked over!!   The likes of Nigel Nelson and Miatta Fahnbulleh fit in a lot better.   The best panel show on GB  News is Dewbs & Co where all political persuasions get a good showing in a friendly atmosphere.   Her ratings won't be dented that Kyle's televised radio show.

Dewbs & Co is a very hard watch for me personally, not helped by the use of the awful Breakfast Bar set and Dewberry isn't a natural broadcaster.

So that's how they deal with the "liberal" panelist.   Big Grin
@Brekkietweets
Not sure it'll last but it's quite refreshing having a debate show where it's relatively civilised. Even Jeremy Kyle seems quite relaxed.
I've actually enjoyed watching this tonight. The News Desk was brilliant, just how the extended 5 News should have been. Tom Newton Dunn was fantastic. Piers Morgan was... well, the set looks gorgeous, and The Talk... I switched off so I could get stuff done.

Also nice to see that the forum hasn't broken down either!!
I'm on Andover Radio every Saturday afternoon from 4pm-6pm. Follow me on Twitter.
Note the 10pm tv bulletin is branded as News at 10.
Just going back to Morgan, it looked to me like Youtube viewers peaked at 6k, around double the News Desk.

The set and production was good, but the sound not so much. Surely that's an abnormal level of echo?

Also, as someone asked earlier, is Piers actually live? I know there was a two-way with TDN during the News Desk, but that doesn't mean the show wasn't taped before.

Just noticed that the weather is from the Met Office. Might be supplied from Exeter.

I have to agree, Piers' show was underwhelming and while The Talk was OK I expected better for the first show. I don't watch GB News very often but I quite enjoy hearing from the more unknown faces they have on.
Nazaneen Ghaffar with a weather forecast.
More News UK cross promotion with the weather sponsored by Times Travel, and a talkSport update.
This is a better bulletin at 10pm, weather forecast and talkSPORT branded sports update.
I'm not going to pretend I've set up the EQ on my TV particularly well, but I'm not sure this "radio style" EQ and desk mic sounds as good as a lapel mic

Presumably to fit in when TalkRadio does their radio talkSPORT sports bulletin.

Daisy's mic doesn't sound right on the tv feed.
'TalkTV Live From the TalkRadio Studio'

I do think the TV/Radio branding is just creating a bit of a mess here. It should just be a singular brand that can be viewed on TV or listened to on the radio.
