TV Live Forum Welcome back

I like the new prefixes for the thread, noticed a Prelaunch one for TalkTV.
They're both women and that trumps regionality; ITV guidelines

Think I've found some sort of bug, with the 'Challenge' thread, it shows as 18 pages but if you click on Page 18 it claims the thread doesn't exist! (the latest reply is however available on Page 17)

There is a test forum appearing on Google search

Cheers, I'll remove that when I get a few moments.

To those of you who have donated to keep the forum online, I'd like to thank you. Your donations were much appreciated.

Hmmm. I find it a bit big and incongruous to be honest.

I know what’s online at the moment is just a temporary solution while Rob has a well earned break after getting the forum back online using new software, but I do find it much harder to use than the old one, and do hope it does go back to the same layout as the one on phpBB.

One of the biggest ones for me is the front page which I’m sure used to get a preview of the latest thread under each category, rather than just the category names…

I've made them a bit smaller now, so they should be OK. The idea here is that only myself and the mods can add these prefixes, for the exception of the Requests forum, where you'll be able to add them yourself.

It sadly will not be going back to the way it was on phpBB, as that would take a hell of a lot of work. However, the preview of the latest threads on mobile is on my list of things to do when I'm back online tomorrow.

That’s much better now with the smaller prefixes. Thanks.

The most important thing is a forum which works, so I’ll just have to get used to the new one!

As the forum looks I will say it appears very old school and a bit plain if I may say so.

I think some wrapping may be in order (ie sidebars and things) and maybe some more vibrant colours to make it look more visually interesting.

Just my two cents, decision is as always up to Rob.

Once I've got some free time in my schedule, I will make a few design changes to make it a bit more visually pleasing. I know it does look a bit plain at the moment, but the priority was just getting the forum back up and running. I may even look at doing this tomorrow at some stage.

I have a week off work scheduled in the middle of May, so any big changes will probably happen then.

Are you sure that was accidental? Wink

Thanks for all the work getting things back online.

That's odd, your registration date is the same as mine, so you should definitely have it.

Can I throw in appreciation for the breadcrumb nav returning on mobile? I was going to mention it as a request for the previous incarnation, it makes getting back from a multipage thread you've gone through several pages of much easier
Write that down in your copybook now
