Doctor Who

The sea devils episode didn’t exist by the sounds of it until the centenary special was commissioned. You’d assume Chibnall has a plan for his final episode which he’s been building up to since he took over.

From watching the trailer, you can see this Easter episode is a nice, light hearted romp essentially, so not really suitable for a big finale.
To be precise, Legend of the Sea Devils appears to be a mere 47 minutes long. Pretty sure this is the first time a special has been the same length (if not slightly shorter) as a standard episode.
It is true as you get older time seems to become faster - I'm 34 this year and it literally only feels like yesterday since Jodie regenerated into the Doctor!

Better hope the FA Cup football doesn't go to extra time, or it might air later than planned.

The FA Cup is on ITV on Easter Sunday, not on BBC One.

It's felt like that to me with all five of the modern Doctors - it seems like they've barely got going by the time they leave. It's hard to believe we will already be on to the sixth Doctor of the revived series - though it's also hard to believe it's 17 years since it came back!
New spin-off coming to BBC Sounds next week!

The Love and Monsters-style concept of conspiracy theorists trying to find out about the Doctor is a great idea for a podcast. I'm not much of an audio drama person (I've never really been able to get into them so far, at least) but I'm looking forward to giving this a go anyway.
Chibnall tells Radio Times he gives no consideration to fandom's feelings, per the advice of his predecessors, and that he also fully expects Russel T. Davies to ignore all he's done with the show
Legend of the Sea Devils had the old blocks in the titles and end card (apologies if this has been posted before)

When I saw that trailer, I literally didn't feel my legs, that's how shocked I was
The episode overall was nice and fun, nothing to write home about necessarily, but not a bad episode by any means. THOSE returns we saw in the trailer took me by surprise for sure!

The editing of this episode was downright weird, which makes me think things may have 'happened' somewhere during production, for whatever reason. Case in point - the net trap near the start, which comes out of nowhere, despite the Doctor and team having only just arrived!
It’s just awful isn’t it. Should bung it on the CBBC channel as it’s just kids tv. Nothing at all for adults. I’m bored of how many times I’ve given it a go now.
