Some Hungarian channels were covering the war situation too. M1, HírTV (NewsTV) and ATV all disrupted their normal schedule to broadcast about this, RTL klub and TV2 (the two main commercial channels) didn't, but they probably talked about it in their morning programmes.

To be honest, the Former US Army General Ben Hodges provided BBC News with one of the best contributions I've seen today. He stated plainly what happened, queried how sustainable the number of positions the Russian military has in the middle/long term. He also suggested Putin's strategy is to destabilise and collapse the economy of Ukraine and then seek to put a government of his choosing in place in Ukraine. Whilst this is still largely speculation, it seemed like an informed view on what's going on.
Much of the reporting is mainly on the shock of what's happened. That's understandable but hopefully some analysis will come to help us try and make sense of things. It's on days like this a well-edited bulletin is often more insightful than rolling coverage which can make it hard to see/understand the bigger picture. Of course, that's taking nothing away from the excellent journalists providing the updates from a now dangerous place.

One would assume another presenter will join the team out there, if they're not there already. There is also the added complication of how difficult it probably is to get people to the broadcast location with roads jammed and airports apparently being targetted. I wouldn't be surprised if we see Tim Willcox or David Eades (the latter being a former Europe Correspondent) dispatched or appearing at some point.

Hearing air raid sirens going off behind Lyse Doucet and Clive Myrie live on the one o'clock news really brought home how chilling this is in this day and age. There's plenty time for analysis in the coming days and weeks.

Looks like World have taken the entirety of the One. I think we can assume it'll be a joint service for the remainder of the day.

Not sure about Breakfast, but 9-11 was simulcast on both channels with Lyse Doucet in Kiyiv and Victoria Derbyshire in studio E. 11-1 was also simulcast with Lucy Hockings in C and Lyse in Ukraine and then World have taken the One with Clive. I've been flicking between all channels and GB News seem to be the ones most struggling with the story. Their news round ups have been pretty good at the top of the hour, Mark White's analysis has also been good and they've spent quite a bit of time reporting on the protest outside Parliament, which hasn't been reported elsewhere but the lack of presentation from Ukraine itself and original material to give viewers a real sense of what's been happening has been missing. I flicked over just now to sound problems and their on screen graphics freezing/crashing/breaking which didn't help.

Very scary to hear the air raid siren on BBC One in 2022 during the One O'Clock News behind Clive Myrie & Lyse Doucet and then having to put flak jackets on whenever they went back to London for the other news. I hope the people of Ukraine and the press out there stay safe.

Have to say the CNN coverage has be excellent. John Berman doing a great job on the magic wall in the New York studios.
