I wonder how long it will take before they decide that the smooth transitions between the various brands is too complicated and channels start going their separate ways. It happened with ITV!

Anyone seen the Radio logos? People were commenting on them in the other thread so assume they were in the YouTube video posted which is now unavailable

There isn’t a corporate style as such with the rebrand other than the BBC blocks always featuring prominently but in any imaginable way (there was photo of a billboard where they are floating for example). No “you can’t touch the logo” rule. In fact it is “play with blocks as you please”.

From what I saw and commented on, it's circular logos with the numbers in Reith (I think?) instead of the current individualized numbers. It only had Radios 1, 2 and 3 and maybe 1Xtra too, but the colours were the same as they currently are.

It will be interesting to see what the DVD ident will be like, replacing this one:

It’s nice to see BBC Four getting a rebrand for the first time in 16 years and a new logo for the first time ever since the channel’s launch.
What I’m concerned about however is CBeebies, CBeebies like BBC Four have been using the same logo since it’s launch. I wonder if there’s going to be a new CBeebies logo as well because the channel definitely needs a revamp.

I like it, the BBC logo is being more actively used compared with the relatively passive use now. The video seemed to suggest that dragging down to refresh in apps would stretch the logo down for feedback.
Also like the creative arrangements of the boxes in the different logos - a play button for iplayer and a waveform for sounds etc. Better than I feared from the logo on its own.

I do like these new logos. Are we finally going to see the back of the Oneness branding, or are we stuck with the Night Kayakers and the Birdwatchers etc?
