Ok here’s a few suggestions I have.
Gary Lineker leaves Match of the Day at the end of the season but stays on as main presenter for the World Cup and continue to do occasional work for the BBC. Mark Chapman will take over as regular presenter with Alex Scott and Jason Mohammed rotation on match of the day 2.
BT Sport will be brought by Disney but continue to use the BT sport name in the short term with ESPN and ESPN 2 relaunching as stand alone channels. BT Sport will also become available on Disney Plus.
BBC Three launches to mild success much to the annoyance of ITV2 and E4.
New idents launch in the spring for BBC one, CBBC and CBeebies with BBC News and Parliament also getting new looks.
Channel 5 revive They Think its all over with Jeff Stelling as host. They also revive before they were famous with Chris Kamarra presenting.
ITV launch two more talent shows with both been flops.
BBC announce a new deal with Disney allowing full access to the Disney archive with so many showing allowed in a 3 year period. As part of the Deal some CBBC shows will be on Disney plus and a new co production agreement for several shows and movies.
Amazon buy shares in ITV and ITV studios.
Top of the pops returns in the Autumn for a limited trail run.
Eastenders ratings continue to go into free fall with some episodes dropping below a million.
BBC Three, no longer able to rely on Seth MacFarlane programmes, struggles to fill an evening schedule and gets poor ratings.
Some people kick up a stink when CBBC's closedown is moved back to 7pm to make room for BBC Three.
BBC One HD regions don't happen. BBC One North doesn't happen.
Murdoch acquires a minority share in GB News, instead of launching Talk TV. Piers Morgan replaces Farage, who leaves to go back into politics (again).
LBC launches as a TV channel, simulcasting the radio station.
Eurosport closes its linear channels, focussing instead on streaming on Discovery+.
Virgin Media rebrands, either as O2, or a new brand entirely.
ITV announces I'm A Celeb going to two series a year, with a summer series in Wales, and the winter series returning to Australia.
Yet another scandal results in Love Island being canned for good.
EastEnders to be cut back to twice a week, or possibly a single one-hour weekly episode. Replaced with a new soap based in either Wales or the North-East.
I'd no predictions last year, but here are my predictions for next year. - Due to lessons learned from the fire at Red Bee, affected broadcasters will radically modify their DR setups. These will be tested, however, the public will misinterpret these tests as another failure, leading to parliamentary inquiry into the robustness of DTT infrastructure, and possible regulation.
- Clarkson, Hammond or May will leave the Amazon show
- Sky glass, in it's current form will not gain the market share Sky had predicted and they will re-launch using the same platform, but in the form of a "TV stick"
- More scrutiny will be placed on shows which may be "potentially invasive to privacy", such as "The Sheriffs Are Coming
- There will be a formal review of the way the BBC is funded (e.g. the TV license), while I won't speculate on the outcome of that review, I predict this will also lead to a review of local TV, resulting in a shake-up.
- Sky NZ will acquire more sports rights, further reducing the amount of FTA sport in NZ.

Just because BBC Three is returning doesn't mean Family Guy and American Dad is going to return to the channel, I mean it's fine where it is on ITV2.

It's already happening to a great extent. For example, when simulcasting the channel is solely referred to as 'BBC News (for viewers in the UK and around the world)' and the new Newsday titles changed the voiceover from 'This is BBC World News, it's Newsday' to 'This is BBC News, it's Newsday'.

It's already happening to a great extent. For example, when simulcasting the channel is solely referred to as 'BBC News (for viewers in the UK and around the world)' and the new Newsday titles changed the voiceover from 'This BBC World News, it's Newsday' to 'This is BBC News, it's Newsday'. No it isn't and anyway, as for BBC News bulletins on BBC World News it's always been like that since the World News channel launched, and BBC World News is an international channel, so no, BBC World News changing it's name to just BBC News is not going to happen.
