They had breaks before the new look in October 2016. I think STV has breaks too

STV only had breaks for a short time. Now there's occasionally a very short break after the STV News at Six.

Seems great that BBC News NI does this, does anywhere else?
It used to be something some regions did on the afternoon summary (around 3pm) before they were axed.

Paul Clark presenting solo on tonight’s UTV live?

Good to see Conchùr Dowds reporting on UTV Live this evening:

Also on the report was former UTV Live presenter/reporter (and briefly SDLP politician) Fearghal McKinney who is now Head of the British Heart Foundation in Northern Ireland.

Conchùr is also presenting UTV Live during GMB tomorrow morning, although according to his Twitter he is still freelance.

Donna Traynor has resigned from BBC NI "with immediate effect" (and very quickly changed her Twitter handle)

I've deleted a post.

As this story is the subject of ongoing legal proceedings, please do not speculate on what they might be here.
I'm on Andover Radio every Saturday afternoon from 4pm-6pm. Follow me on Twitter.

It’s a shame that after 33 years of service, it’s ended the way it has. But it’s completely her choice for whatever complex legal reasons it might be for.

She’s even trending on Twitter in the UK so seems like there’s a huge outpouring amid her resignation.

Oh dear. It's a shame that Donna Traynor has left BBC NI in this way. I wish her all the best.

Paul Clark hasn’t been on UTV Live lately. I saw his birthday was on Saturday

It always seems so weird when a long-standing regional news stalwart is suddenly gone with no "bunch of flowers" on-screen send-off or anything.

The last one that I can think of was Christa Ackroyd at Look North.

Stewart White at least made a brief low-key mention of his departure, on his final Look East.

Imagine if the likes of Bob Warman at ITV Central just disappeared one day, in a similar fashion.
MISLEADING HEADLINE "MAKES YOU READ ARTICLE", SAYS NAKED MILEY CYRUS.

Declan Harvey to become new alternate presenter for BBC Newsline in early 2022 as a replacement of Donna Traynor, working alongside Tara Mills.

Will post here rather than start a new thread but BBC NI flagship political show The View to get a new look for 2022 or a new set of titles and updated theme tune, the news studio was only introduced a couple of years ago but stays the same. It is the first time the view has had a new look since it's introduction in Autumn 2012.
