The mobile navigation is much better now, nice and clean! The notification bell is now working fine on my iPhone.

Yep - now working for me. Liking the new mobile navigation format too. Top work Rob! Big Grin

Hi Rob

Loving the forum, well done and thank you for the last 6 months. Such a great service!

Having an issue with the forum in that when you login, all the styling disappears, and a default theme applies.

I have tried everything, by clearing cookies, history, and I can replicate it on multiple devices.

Looks rather unpleasent - it happens on desktop, mobile and tablet.

KInd regards

If you go into your User Control Panel, and click on Board Preferences, you'll be able to change the theme to the default setting.

It appears that the "switching user" bug from some time ago appears to have sporadically returned this evening, on my end...

Worth noting this is on an incognito browser window and my computer has been restarted numerous times since the original incident occurred quite a while ago, so I don't think it is cache related.

I seem to be logged in as someone else? I’m seeing different names appearing that I’m logged in as.

Apologies everyone. This should now be resolved. I'll be chatting to my tech guy tomorrow to find a permanent solution to this problem.

At one point I clicked on my inbox and got someone else's. I didn't click on the messages to see if I could read them, but even being able to see that much is worrying.

It is worrying, I will admit that. I'm going to be meeting up with my tech guy early next week to discuss a strategy to ensure that it doesn't happen again. If it DOES happen again, just send me a PM, and I'll take the site offline straight away.

-------

In other news, you'll have probably seen THIS post in the ChatPS thread, and following this, a formal warning that ANY mention of that site on this forum (signatures, avatars, links in threads) will result in a permanent ban.

I want to state for the record, that I have always been happy to accept criticism of things I've done on this website http://through the Metropol thread, and I have been quick to respond to feedback there in a friendly manner. However, when the criticism comes in the form of personal abuse towards me, I simply won't tolerate it. It's bullying, plain and simple.

I'm very tempted to post screenshots of some of the abuse that's been hurled my way, but I'm far better than that. I'm not going to let the actions of Mr. Martin, David and others on that site stop me from running this site.

Thank you.

I've been switched from Forum Lite to the normal version since last visiting and having swapped back, the lite version has gone back to default phpBB style.

Yes, I was just about to post about that.

Forum Light is supposed to be the default phpBB template. Because of the issues yesterday, I noticed that the grey version of the template (the temporary one) was still being used by some. For everyone who was getting that version, they've now been switched to the blue one.

Seems pointless having three different templates in place, it would be a pain to update all of them!!!

When I load a page, I briefly see the links to the various subforums, but they vanish after less than a second. They've ended up in the menu that comes up when you click on the three bars at the top left corner. What's going on? It wasn't doing that yesterday.

I think I may have found an issue with post counts too. TheGameShowChannel supposedly has three posts, but when you search his posts (by clicking on the 3) it only shows two posts. If a post gets deleted, shouldn't it be deducted from the post count? Why else would that third post not show up?

Probably because there are too many items in the menu now I've added a link to the BBC rebrand forum. I don't think it's that much of an issue.

Considering the user has since been banned for spamming, I don't think that's too much of a concern. Besides, one of that users posts has been moved away from public view as it was nonsense.
