Question; how far is it between Northampton and Norwich, given that news for the former will come from the latter?

I seem to recall back in the day, Northampton used to come under the "Midlands" broadcasting umbrella and in rugby, Leicester (Tigers) v Northampton (Saints) is always billed as "an East Midlands derby".

It's around 96 miles. Regional news coming from somewhere nearly 100 miles away feels both impractical and not as regional.

Just remind me…. what is the deal with the picture quality on Look East? I haven’t watched it for a while, but watching it tonight, it’s like a badly copied vhs cassette, it’s awful. Is the lighting really shite as well or is it just the cameras make it look too bright? It’s strange because the reports and packages they do usually look clearer than the studio.

I think the problem lies in that Norwich moved to The Forum in 2003. Much of if not all the kit was new then but they've presumably not replaced much of it in that time.
