The live farewell to Willsy as broadcast on Anglia East. (It appears East opted into the live West bulletin at the end).

Have to say, that montage was a good reminder of how regional news can be quite fun to watch at times.

One main bulletin done, and David Whiteley is settling in nicely; he works well with Becky, and, I think, suits the tone of the bulletin perfectly. Early impressions on social media are mainly positive.
Also, a few references to 'Anglia' without ITV before it in a nice VT, shot in Cromer, introducing David to the team. *And* a new pre-recorded continuity announcement into the 6.00pm bulletin as well.

Look East from Norwich didnt make it to air for a few minutes after the 6 o'clock news this evening due to technical difficulties according to Leigh Milner, Sportsday was shown until the issue was fixed. Although lower thirds proceeded to not work throughout (caused the feed to go black).

Still a great studio. The sofa is better than the desk they used

The sofa is better than the desk they used If there's live weather they sit over to the left hand side of the studio (presenter right) against the side screen. It's one of those awful washed out projection screens which makes the fake newsroom backdrop look even worse.
