I don't think it's due to Newscast, it's only one episode a week. Maybe it'll all change when the new Pol Ed is in place.
The TV edition is only one episode a week, in place of This Week on Thursday nights but the BBC Sounds podcast is presented by Adam Monday through Friday.

If you go back to before Adam and Vicky’s current roles, Norman Smith did Today, Breakfast, News at One/WATO, AM news channel and (as it was then) Victoria Derbyshire. Vicky Young effectively held the same role but during afternoons and evenings (so appeared on slightly less prominent programmes), while John Pienaar appeared all over the place.
Although Adam is Chief Political Correspondent he’s effectively replaced Norman Smith, not Vicky Young. He just also presents a daily podcast (Newscast) that gets recorded every afternoon.

After the 7am headlines, Nina Warhurst said that today's date is Tuesday 15th NOVEMBER.
No reaction from Jon Kay to suggest that he noticed the error. I got the impression that it was being read from the autocue, rather than an off-the-cuff date-check.
Bizarre.
Would the presenters blithely read out literally anything written on the autocue?! Even if the autocue said e.g. "Good morning, I'm an incompetent moron", or a torrent of expletives?
Maybe Nina (and/or the autocue writer) did it as a dare? But it's not even April Fools Day!

Indeed I think a presenter getting a word wrong is pretty small fry (it’s slightly Roy Burgundy but it happens to even the best) - the far bigger issue seems to be the BBC’s choice of lead story today across their news outlets - one that doesn’t do the BBC many favours and seems way more suited to the more tabloid GMB.
