"From today you'll hear some new voices when you're watching UTV, as for the time being we're handing over to our colleagues at ITV, but rest assured Julian and I will be back with you as soon as possible"

What's actually involved in this refresh for BBC Newsline? It's not like just changing the typeface used on the titles to Reith isn't yet? I would assume going from the tweet above that it's new look later this year will look much more substantial when they showcase it to their viewers on BBC One NI. Another question that does need to be asked is would the new refreshed look for Newsline include the new BBC logo?

I think they could include the new BBC logo. to tie in with all. Wales Today went their own way with their titles in July 2019 dropping the 2008 look. very impressive too. Maybe BBC Newsline could drop the 2008 look too?. I find it very exciting. who knows what the result will be?. later in the year could be autumn or winter?

Change will happen when the service provider decides to make a change, let’s not read Ito dates too much or get overly worried about something looking the same way for a while, heck we are all generally stuck with how our faces look for many more years than a corporate look! :-) There’s many more things in like to worry about!

Indeed. The tweet doesn't mention "later this year", it just says that it's "coming". The word "big" is much more significant Wink

It’s good seeing Mark Carruthers present BBC Newsline as the view and Sunday politics is on it’s summer break. I remember watching him as a youngster.

Paul handled it all quite well! Kept calm, no large gaps of dead air or just looking down at the desk, no loads of stumbling over words as it all goes wrong around him.

Imagine a lesser experienced presenter in that situation!!
