Not able to understand but get the gist. Never seen the method they use of holding up physical cards and a physical photo in the studio.

Been a few years since I've had regular sight of Japanese television but the use of physical props and printed cards was a very common thing on their news programmes.

Also all sorts of uses of graphics that would look strange to us, 3D characters with flags for heads used to represent international negotiations and that sort of thing.
