Recently discovered this website due to the fire at Red Bee, so thought I'd make a thread about a hobby of mine. Hopefully it's allowed.
In this thread, we discuss logos found on British TV channels. The reason why I decided to make this thread is because I think it would be fun and interesting to try get more users on this forum into logo hunting and also the fact that not a lot of people at the CLG Wiki (the main logo community wiki) are British. Most, if not all the logo finding threads on the old CLG Wiki are for American TV channels, one bloke did try making a "The British TV Thread" but the thread was very inactive and he was the only one who ever posted on it.
The main reason why I like finding logos on TV channels currently is because it's interesting seeing what prints TV channels use of stuff, not to mention a lot of logos are pretty rare to find on TV nowadays due to lack of older stuff airing on TV. For example, Wild Geese II (1985), which aired on TCM several days ago, ended with a Viacom logo, the one that debuted in 1986 known as the V of Steel, meaning the print TCM got was a 1986-1990 syndicated print (pretty rare to see this happen with Cannon films nowadays, they usually use Paramount/MGM era prints when reran nowadays).

Right now, GREAT! Movies Christmas premiere the 2001 TV Movie "Call Me Claus" starring Whoopi Goldberg. This movie has a chance of keeping Columbia TriStar Television at the end (a pretty hard logo to find on TV nowadays, but the Distribution logo can be seen on Crazy Like a Fox over on GREAT! TV (plastering (replacing) the Columbia Pictures Television logo from the era), while the regular/Domestic variants can be seen on The King of Queens episodes whenever Channel 4 or Comedy Central air them, and the TV Movie Christmas Rush whenever the Virgin Channels in Ireland play it). However there is a chance the CTT logo will be plastered by the Sony Pictures Television logo, as I do know several prints of this movie have this logo instead (some even having the Sony Pictures Television International logo). Update in roughly two hours on whenever the CTT logo was kept or not.
I understand that this interest may be an obscure one, so I understand if the thread gets removed or isn't that active very much, but it would be nice to see other people in this forum hunt for old logos on TV. It sounds like a weird hobby but it's actually pretty fun as you never know what will appear.
