A fairly bold move from the BBC, because it does an OK job of filling an hour (or currently 40 minutes) of content each week of the year. I can't quite remember the exact details, but I know when the BBC announced plans to move more productions out of London earlier this year, they committed to 2 or 3 new continuing dramas.
