The late bulletin of tonight’s ITV News Central is being presented from a very empty Newsroom.

They’ve made it look quite good with suitable blue lighting and the usuals backdrop on the back large screen.

I wonder if it’s scheduled maintenance or problems in the studio.

Sad to hear that ex-Central Sport Presenter Bob Hall has died.

Very sad. He was with Central up to the 2009 rehash of ITV regional news. After that he went on to work at Big Centre TV with Mike Prince.

A memorable moment was when he reported live and a gust of wind nearly destroyed the FA Cup.

The ITV News Central bus is making a return for the Commonwealth Games where they’ll be hosting the programme from the bus at venues across the next two weeks.

Of course Central used to have a bus for their Summer tours about 15 odd years ago, infamously where Joanne Malin informed viewers live from Trentham Gardens that it’s been “p**sing it down with rain”.
