Firstly how fab is this new place, 10 Kays out of 10.

Is it me or does BBC Midlands need a relight? Very dark and gloomy shots on Sunday's evening bulletin.

It might just be their awful cameras or something wrong with iPlayer encoding but it just doesn't look right.

Not being in the region anymore I can't see how it looks via DTT/Cab/DSat.

A familiar face filing a report on tonight's News at Ten to former viewers of Central South.

Alex Forrest, now known as Alex Forrest Whiting reporting from Berlin regarding the German reaction towards the AstraZeneca jab.

Alex did stick with ITV News for a while before becoming freelance a couple of years ago. Nice to see her make an appearance. Her and Sally Biddulph (neé Mules) seemingly are the main people who've made it nationally on ITV News as Central South alumni - though of course nationally the most well known alumni is Kate Garraway.

I was going to put this in the announcement thread however I found Midlands Today's late bulletin for the death of Prince Philip very interesting, I compared it to three other regions (of course they were all of the same theme) but I noticed they used the same slate that Network were using and didn't just opt in after the weather as normal:

Who was in at Central? Matt has done a Saturday before but can't imagine Bob coming in on a Saturday.

I didn't even know they did a catch up service; I remember when ITV Local died a death in 2009 their online presence seemed to die a death.

In fact now I think about it weren't a lot of the ITV Local webcams the regional news backgrounds or used for DTL content? I remember the Gas Street roof cam being used as a BBC DTL background for a little while, unsure if it was pooled resourcing or not - BBC Birmingham got in trouble for using someone's Flickr image as a placeholder without permission around the same time - and compensated them £75 (which they weren't too thrilled with).

Just caught a few seconds of Doctors, which was showing the next episode preview. Looks like there is cameo from Nick Owen on Monday!

Callum Watkinson from ITV News Central has trended on Twitter for his poor handling of a member of the public after he walked into his shot while doing a live. He has since deleted his social media.

Wow! What a rude idiot Callum is! :o
Standing on Broad Street on a Saturday afternoon. Of course he'll attract attention!

That’s quite something, it’s like a Jonathan Pie video.

You have to wonder if he’s actually trying to go viral.

Probably won’t be employed by ITV for much longer!

Bordering on a Public Order offence. Surprising really.
