Interesting to see CBeebies use the same logo they've used for decades but with the new BBC logo. No doubt, like other forum posters have mentioned, CBBC will get the same treatment.
Then again, who remembers back in 2007 when forum posters were baffled by "CBBC BBC"?
I was thinking that the blocks would remain in the same place as they were now, but this now seems to be going in a different route.

No reason the blocks couldn't remain under the logo but if they insist on switching them at least turn the frown upside down so the CBeebies logo looks happier to be under them.

Apologies if this should fit in the programme forum but this may fit in either.
I note at the end of Saturday Mashup today that the presenters revealed that the programme will be coming from Glasgow when it returns in early January.
Its like the old days when they would go off for the summer. 
No idea if this is for the long run or a short term thing so expect some set changes.

Maybe it's better to think of the current CBeebies wordmarque as being "rainbow shaped"? ?
With the new blocks logo now being placed above rather than below, the stalk of the final "b" now overlaps with the [C], which I dislike.
Does the CITV channel still use "Mini CITV" (or anything else) as a sub-brand around pre-school programmes? I've long thought that they could rip-off CBeebies, by using "C.I.TeeVees".

Well, I suppose the name is simultaneously doing a few different things...
The "CBee" part is a homophone for the first two syllables of "CBBC", thus linking it to children's programming. In fact, you would only need to add "ee" to the end of the whole word to get a full homophone of "CBBC"!
The overall word has that general "cutsie-pie" kind of sound which is often used around very young children, akin to saying things like "biccie" (for biscuit) or "brekkie" (for breakfast). "Beebies" is essentially a "cutsie-pie" rendering of the word "Babies".
It incorporates "Beeb", which is a long-standing nickname for the BBC derived from first expressing the verbal sound of the 3 initials as words (i.e. "Bee Bee See") and then taking the first four letters of that.
All of which makes it a rather clever name, as there's quite a lot going on there.

CITV got rid of Mini CITV brand in January 2013 but they dropped pre-school programming entirely in 2015 with Sooty being the only exception. ITV later brought back pre-school programming in a new block called LittleBe which has been airing on ITVBe everyday since 2018.

Probably doesn't help there's no accessible brand guidelines for the rebrand, hence why we constantly see the new BBC logo in Gill Sans or what's happened there.

The pink iPlayer wordmark placed DIRECTLY on green just doesn't work... would have looked better if they add a white outline (like with the show's wordmark).

Saw the new CBeebies logo format on an outdoor advertisement yesterday.
Love that they are using the 2002 bug typeface as a big and bold headline display font, alongside Reith.
No idea how much this is used on air these days, but works wonderfully in that context.
