I'm A Celeb 2021
ITV reserving the castle doesn't mean much because they need a backup location in case they can't secure anywhere sunny.
The castle being reserved next year is hardly surprising given how uncertain the next year is. We barely know what’s happening over the next week, let alone the next 52.

Personally I’d like a different series next year to celebrate 20 years, and have camp mates who have previously been in the jungle stay in the castle to see how they would cope in a different environment.

And it may be wise for the series to be rescheduled for September/October to reduce the risk of storms causing any damage like this year.

They're both alright. I miss the jungle, but I think the castle setting's been a breath of fresh air. I will say however, that the second castle series had something missing that the first castle series didn't- I don't think it was the novelty of the setting either, I think the casting choices were better that first castle series. But personally, I don't have a particular preference. I think the show has enough legs (for now) to run twice a year with the castle version in the spring, and the jungle version in the winter (Aussie summer).

A bit like how Love Island were going to start doing a summer series in Spain and a winter series in South Africa; obviously that didn't end up happening that two versions ran in the same year, because Love Island's all about rumpy-pumpy which wasn't possible under severe Covid restrictions; and Flackers' death probably harmed its chances of having a second 2020 series anyway. But I don't watch Love Island so I don't know what the difference between the Spain and South Africa versions are- I just keep an eye on TV news generally.

But I'm A Celeb isn't about rumpy-pumpy and both of its hosts are thankfully still alive, so I think it could manage two series. The only problem with that is since they're on Series 21 now anyway, let's say (this won't happen but let's just say) a two series a year format starts next year, it'll be up to Series 31 by that point, when the format really *will* would've become tired. Although I watch Dancing with the Stars when I'm in the states (duel citizenship), and they're on their 30th season now- still going strong- coming off the back of one of their strongest seasons ever, though theirs is the opposite- they used to do 2 a year and have cut back to 1 in recent times.

It will be moved anyway. The usual dates clash with the FIFA World Cup.
Sounding increasingly promising for a return to Australia.

Well the ITVX announcement yesterday was all part of a presentation to investors so other areas were touched upon too.
