I often wonder just what it is about Naga that makes people dislike her. If only I could put my finger on it.

This sort of comment really troubles me. I will admit that I don't like the way Naga presents Breakfast. She's not my cup of tea. I don't get her sense of humour and for me, it comes across as cringeworthy most of the time. But, that's my opinion on the way Naga presents the programme; it is not a personal criticism and is not influenced by race in any way. In fact, I did used to like Naga in her Working Lunch days with Declan Curry and when she presented on BBC World News. You are entitled to have an opinion on someone without it being based on the colour of their skin.

I get that, and my comment was maybe a little bit flippant but more a reflection on the ‘criticism’ she receives elsewhere rather than here. I think it’s fair to say that she does get a lot more abuse online than her colleagues though.

I’ve watched it a couple of times and it’s Charlie’s reaction that makes it cringeworthy.

The Hannah / Naga banter was typical awkward banter over a severely delayed line that happens daily on Breakfast.

I think the fact that Hannah is new rather than it being one of the old favourites that makes it more awkward

Like when there was a similar awkward exchange with a junior sports reporter the other week, and someone pointed out had it been Mike Bushell it would have just been part of the usual Breakfast banter
