Not keen on the new set, it’s far too busy and rotating it makes the studio look even smaller.

The sofas look like something from daytime one one circa 1986!
It feels dated compared to the previous set. I think it's the colour palette of mainly orange and green and the change of sofa.

The studio is tiny but facing the cameras to the windows gave a depth and feeling of space.
Rotating the set and filling the space with such a busy set makes it look as if the show is coming from a shoe box.
I agree, some of the set looks very dated and cramped.
I think it's a vast improvement over the old set, much more fitting to the programme.
I think it's a good effort with the space they've got. I get why some might think it's dated but think it's more a case of those style of set elements are kind of back in use again. They've done a good job though of making it noticeably different yet fundamentally the same.
It all feels a mis-matched to me. Why keep the red colour in the titles if the set's not going to have any red in it? Also for all those that sent in videos, I think it would be very hard to tell if yours was in there as the clips are so faint in the background.

Agreed with those that say the set now seems smaller, it really does, it now feels almost like you're watching a local news programme rather than The One Show!
I only figured out once I watched the programme that it's the same studio from the wide shot.

Not a fan of the new set, sorry.

BBC One… Red.

BBC One… Red.

Maybe for now, who knows what the rebrand will bring?

Why would the BBC’s flagship channel change their colour after so long. It’s going to be red.
It seems more like an evolution rather than a revolution for the studio. The seating is much more flexible now, especially for COVID times.

Once Morning Live moves to Salford, they may fiddle with it again, as they won't have to change the set as frequently.
I quite like the set, but I don't love it for this show. Personally, I feel they've removed all the gloss that The One Show set had previously. There was always a bit of shine to it - glossy floors, LED lights, the whole thing standing out against the darkness outside (for a bulk of the year!) It looked like a shiny evening show and contrasted well with Morning Live's look. Now, The One Show looks a bit... 'Daytime'? I can't think of a better way to put it.

Yes, it looks like Daytime circa 1995.
Just a thought, the set looks like something S4C would rustle up for Heno.

Not that I doubt this, but you could easily have asked in 2002 why the BBC's flagship channel would change its famous use of a globe after so long.

The highlight on The One Show was Mo Gilligan giving himself a round of applause.
