Much more the rumour in Westminster that she'll be returning to her old role as Director of Comms for the Treasury after her stint at No. 10 where she never really wanted to do the televised briefings and managed to hold out from actually doing them...

In any other line of work spending money on a specific project, millions may I add here, and then not using it for what you said you would, would surely have you under some investigation?

To be fair it extends beyond politics as well - millions being spent on projects that don't get off the ground is not unique to them, often because the more a project costs the longer it takes to set up and the greater the chance of either the personnel involved changing or the original reasons for the project or the requirement for it diminishing.

Perhaps they'll hire it out. For 2.6 Million it should be a quite well equipped HD (perhaps UHD) facility. Nicely situated in the heart of government. Either that, or a lift'n'shift move to, say, err, Paddington? One owner, barely used
