BBC 1's line up on a Saturday evening / night was brilliant back in the 1970s, such as
The Pink Panther Basil Brush Doctor Who The Generation Game All Creatures Great and Small A movie - usually a Western Match of the Day Parkinson Something for all the family, and huge audiences.

Given how long it ran for. I do wonder how many cuddly toys they gave away and if the cuddly toy makers cursed the Beeb in the middle of 2002 when their main client suddenly stopped getting them in and the had a excess of them come 2003

Their profile may have been yanked up while Generation Game was on air (like most things once they get on the 'in' show of the time) but they don't really go out of fashion. Anyway they're not expensive to make (the mass manufactured toys anyway), so I dare say they're one of those "pile them high sell them cheap" things.

I'd imagine most funfairs give away (or not) as many cuddly toys per weekend as Generation Game did in a year.
Anyhow, the BBC probably should hurry up and give Bradley Walsh a chance at it. I think their might be an hour next weekend when he isn't on TV.
