Yes it's not a great format and barely known here, but also I can't see much scope for Alan Carr to have fun with it, it's too dry.

Yes, there have been a couple of attempts at lauching Jeopardy in the UK - as you say, it was in the 9.25 slot for a couple of years, but Channel Four did a version in its early days which would alternate with Countdown and Sky One had an attempt at it as well, but it never caught on. I don't even think it's that much of a format. As you say, it is pretty much unknown in the UK. It might be quite interesting if they used the Epic Gameshow umbrella to launch a new show, although it seems unlikely.

Well, they did that in the Gameshow Marathon, of course. They also did The Golden Shot which was quite amusing, they did that one live so people could phone in but there's no reason why it couldn't be pre-recorded with a few tweaks to the format.

I don't know, I've seen Americans describe Cats Does Countdown as 'If Saturday Night Live took a Jeopardy sketch and made it into a full show'.
Maybe not as a game in Gameshow Marathon, but I think you could certainly get the format to work with comedians.

Golden Shot could only be done with contestants in the studio these days due to the delays present in the broadcast chain. I seem to remember that even in the Gameshow Marathon one, which was broadcast when analogue TV was still around, there was at least one home contestant who wasn't interacting as they should and ended up miles out

Maybe not as a game in Gameshow Marathon, but I think you could certainly get the format to work with comedians. Possibly, but of course it would only work in the US. Although part of the joke of Cats Countdown is that we're all familiar with the game. Also unlike Jeopardy it has a guest slot and two regulars to bounce off.
Mind you they manage to make Big Fat Quiz interesting and that's essentially a very simple quiz done in a funny way

At least the hour is filled mainly by gameplay; there seems to be less chat than the other editions in this series.

Back on topic...Strike it Lucky, Friday nights after Corrie in a 30 min slot...ITV could be onto a winner.

Bullseye is also the weakest of these shows as it just doesn't suit Alan, although they're doing it again next week with a celebrity special including pro-darts players.

How about Alan Carr doing Wheel of Fortune? Not necessarily as part of Epic Gameshow but he would make a good host of this (providing it's not drawn out to an hour with too much chit chat/stories with the contestants).
Who could be the letters spinner, I don't know but someone who would work well with Alan. Tbh even Jenny Powell could still be a good choice?

Not really any need for that role any more - the letters can be revealed automatically. I guess the Alison Hammond pilot didn't go anywhere. I think it is a format that would really struggle being fleshed out to an hour as well.
