Did they relocate the programme from NY to DC purely to cover/mark Joe Biden's 100 Days speech? Seems quite an extravagant thing to do.
So many different sets but it's hard to see any difference cause they all look equally unremarkable. Not a fan of DC look at all.
Too bad they covered the window in that studio. The old set they had in there years ago was old, but it was nice and simple. The "video walls everywhere" trend that CNN and NBC have adopted is starting to feel very boring.
Maybe so. But the screens used on CNN and NBC are typically flawless. They are lit perfectly. Nothing is washed out or flickering. Cant remember the last time Ive seen a moire pattern or anything noticeably irritating tech-wise. They have it down to a science. Whereas some broadcasters are still still struggling. Nope, they were both in New York until yesterday. I imagine Berman will be back in New York tomorrow and we may get a glimpse of how both studios work in tandem.

I imagine it was quite a busy few days for John Berman, he was doing New Day and covering AC360 at 8pm ET from New York on Tuesday and travel to Washington to do New Day for 6am ET.

I just hope their thinking is to mix it up moving forward. It's a stupid waste of resources to man two studios for a 3 hour show when there are a bunch if shows still stuck in flash studios. All of NYC's primetime shows are still in flash studios, unless they are doing special programming. It's been made clear Brianna would not be moving to NYC and that her time would be spent between DC and NY, here's to hoping it's the same of Berman.

I'm just not a fan of these double-headed flash set ups other than Katty and Christian. if you're a 3 hour train journey away or a one hour flight, it's a no brainer. Mix it up. My point of view of course.
I mean yeah, New Day on the Weekend do this already with the show coming jointly from Atlanta and Washington and the same for Jim and Poppy's Newsroom show from New York and Washington but it uses much less resources cause they are in flash studios. I do agree that using multiple studios, unless in special coverage, is a waste of resources when most of the New York shows aren't back in a proper studio yet.

Speaking of New York, they are supposed to open in full capacity in June so maybe they will return to the full studio soon.

EDIT: As below, it's July 1st opening for New York, not June!

I love the idea.

Wasn't CNN London meant to fully reopen in April? I think we're all still waiting!

We're definitely still waiting. I'm not sure anything has been set in stone about London. The schedules don't indicate a change to normality anytime soon. If @willmington is correct about Just 1st, then perhaps then? Bring it on I say.

It's the buzz here in the city, Newsroom... but I agree with you: just because someone says this in April does not necessarily make it true.

Interesting at the end of Chris Cuomo's show yesterday where he announced that he was going to have tonight's show off but rather than have AC360 with Anderson for another hour, it will be the usual Cuomo Prime Time show tonight with Michael Smerconish covering instead. Chris seem to say that's how it will be going forward in terms of him being off.
