Launch TalkTV
I think Vanessa is likely off to Talk. I'm not sure she is the retiring type.

I see the BBC want to move all the in house audio production over to BBC Studios. Considering what's been happening I would have done this a long time ago.
Confirmed that Jeremy Kylie will sit in for Piers from 1 August to 5 September:

https://www.news.co.uk/2022/07/jeremy-ky...ss-august/

Quote:Broadcaster Jeremy Kyle will host TalkTV’s primetime Piers Morgan Uncensored through August, as the eponymous host takes time out to film a new series of his true crime documentaries and take a well-earned vacation.

Jeremy takes the reins of the Piers Morgan Uncensored show from Monday, 1st August and will host the show, which is broadcast on TalkTV in the UK, Fox Nation in the US and on Sky News Australia, for the following five weeks. Piers will return to the show on Monday, 5th September.
Not surprising I guess. 5 weeks feels shorter than the holidays Piers used to take at GMB.

I wonder if they’ll try and get the rumoured schedule shuffle ready to go from the 5th September?
"well-earned vacation" - yes, "working" one hour a night for four nights a week takes a lot out of poor Piers. Sorry, but seeing as this forum is closing down soon, I just wanted to have one little go at Piers.

I'm not a big fan of Piers, but he works more than an hour a day.

I can imagine Piers being one of those people who, to his colleagues, feels like he's always there.
Be interesting to see how Jeremy Kyle fares in the Morgan slot. He's not a complete unknown in the U.S., though I'd hardly say that a short-lived stint presenting a televised slanging match before getting axed is the best record.
"Good evening. Dull, grey, cold, miserable - and that's just me. The weather hasn't been great, either."

I doubt they’re getting more than a few thousand viewers on the Fox Nation service.

I dare say they’ve already largely given up on that audience.
Kate McCann has written about this week's incident for The Sunday Times:

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/i-fel...-nvgc8lbtw

Quote:The last thing I remember is thinking “this next question is going to be the one” and for the first time in 30 minutes of debate, allowing myself to relax. Then suddenly my body wasn’t where it was supposed to be and someone I couldn’t see was asking me my age.

I couldn’t work out why anyone would need to know that in the middle of a discussion about Ukraine and I remember thinking how rude it was for either candidate to ask.

Then came the creeping sense of panic as my brain started to catch up with my body, which wasn’t at the lectern facing Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak, the Conservative leadership candidates, but on the floor of a television studio surrounded by faces I didn’t recognise.
How old is Kate McCann? An online search suggests she's 54, which I find very hard to believe.

Ha ha. That's the age of the other Kate McCann - the mother of Madeleine.

I think that’s, ahem, another ‘famous’ Kate McCann. This one is in her thirties I believe.
I just think she and the channel she works on are completely made for each other. Utterly unimpressive.
To be honest I'd never heard of her till she fainted and then assumed it was the other one

I'm guessing she's in her mid 30s

Apparently she's 34
