Not to discount anyone's experiences but I can only judge what I see - I've only seen Rob to be professional and polite.
Forthright and robust at times but there's nothing wrong with that, indeed it's a positive.

I feel we can only say this with the benefit of hindsight. 

a lot of us in the early days of tv forum said and did things that were a bit silly, but we grew up and moved on - I would have done the same thing - and I can't remember anybody at all in the early days of tvf who wouldn't deserve a second chance. it's such a shame because there are so many interesting people here.

it says something though when two adults have to give up on a forum discussing something so niche.

I hope this community doesn't fall apart and disintegrate, I hope something pops up on Metropol, it seems the natural home for a successor.

Not only was it not the right decision, but it's likely a major factor in the abuse that's led to him closing it down.

I admit I don't think I'll be joining if said members are allowed on.

I don't know if that's entirely true, the main culprit was still showing his true colours on social media and in several ban-evading sock puppet accounts on TVF which showed they hadn't changed and would just revert to type if allowed on TVLF (which is exactly what happened). While I guess you can argue some others should have been given a second chance and may have matured and changed, the red flags were very much flying around "he who shall not be named", and it was a very bad (and indeed, likely fatal) error of judgement to have allowed him on here.

More like someone who shares their name with a TV chef.

The person you refer to is an irritant, and usually incomprehensible (I think they were basically banned because they posted gibberish), but I don't think they're abusive.

With respect I think the above posts are going a little off-topic.

I agree that it’s weird to see CleanFeed have blocked Rob - but Rob himself has said he wishes them no ill will and I agree.

The CleanFeed forum seems to be the closest we’ve got to a natural successor which is why I’m inclined to make it my choice.

I think I'd be more inclined to take part in a forum that is team-run rather than individual-run.

It's too much pressure for one person to take the entire thing on their shoulders.

Agreed, very good point.

Whilst it’s heartwarming to see so many new forums being launched, may I make the suggestion that Clean Feed is probably the best option and that ideally we should all migrate there? As Steve said it’s part of a connection of sites and will likely be the most professional of the lot, and a splintering across three or four different forums wouldn’t do any good in my opinion.

Obviously each to their own and there will be various reasons for people deciding where to go, but it does look (as Rob has also said on Twitter) as if the Clean Feed forum is probably the next best thing.

Don't forget that Clean Feed blocked Rob and all of the TV Live accounts, so be careful of that.
