Launch TalkTV
I think this has got TalkTV more attention (on social media / in media and political circles) than anything they've broadcast since launch
Extraordinarily bad luck for what should be Talk TV's biggest day since it launched. One host getting covid, the other fainting on air, the whole debate lasting just 30 mins. Apparently it's been trailed to death on TimesRadio all day.

Well they’ve certainly achieved that accolade. Glad everyone seems to be ok.

Arguably much bigger news because of it.

Sadly that’s often how these things play out.
Feel bad for Kate - hope she's alright, what a horrible thing to happen especially when the whole nation is watching. No doubt the debate, Kate and TalkTV will have attention tonight

Yes, at least it happened in relative privacy in this case.

Thankfully she's fine according to TalkTV. The 'good' thing is the camera wasn't on Kate when she fell.
Obviously we don’t know the causes here, but it certainly highlights the pressures of live broadcasting, something we should maybe be mindful of when we criticise presenters sometimes.
Liz Truss's reaction though! One of the funniest things I've ever seen!

See, I thought it was a perfectly normal reaction to someone fainting.

Politicians are constantly derided for coming across as emotionless automatons, yet tonight, Liz Truss displays the perfectly human response of shock and concern to seeing a person faint in front of her, and this is something you consider to be 'one of the funniest things [you've] ever seen'? What an incredibly peculiar response to viewing what happened tonight.

Hoping Kate is alright and being well looked after. That's the main thing.
"Good evening. Dull, grey, cold, miserable - and that's just me. The weather hasn't been great, either."

I really don’t think it’s a peculiar response at all. I think most people would think it was funny. Most people laugh when people fall over or hurt themselves so long as it’s not serious. You’ve Been Framed is proof!

Self-righteousness on the other hand is incredibly boring.
Christ almighty. No wonder Rob doesn't want to keep running this place.
It's just as bad at the other place where members are speculating about Kate's health. It's unnecessary.

What a really odd thing to say.

I thought Liz Truss’ reaction was perfectly understandable - it was clearly a shock and it’s pretty frightening when someone collapses in front of you. It’s also a pretty high pressured environment, and she went straight over to check Kate was okay.
