I noticed at the start of the programme the weather picture featured by Paul used a strange font for the picture credit and location.

Edit: Here it is.

Even Paul looks surprised.

And here’s the random BBC Sport logo glitch Johnr mentioned:

No Peter tonight on Look North Hull, Leanne Brown standing in.
The BBC Annual Report (https://downloads.bbc.co.uk/aboutthebbc/...021-22.pdf) has an intriguing reference

Quote:Two further properties (Crowsley Park and Leeds Unit 2) were also
reclassified to investment properties in the year.

Is that referring to downsizing and subletting part of St Peter's Square or is there some other BBC property in Leeds that I wasn't aware of?

Because he's had an operation on his eye.

Didn't they used to have a public open centre there, a lot of them have closed down now - maybe it's going to be leased out like the restaurant next door?
“Viewers were left confused”
One viewer “took to Twitter” to ask ‘Where is Peter?’

Result - an entire news story on Hull Live

Still do apparently.

I thought Mike was referring to Leeds in relation to the mention in the Annual Report. If so, there’s never been a section of the building at St Peter’s Square open to the public, unless you count the Indian restaurant which occupies part of the ground floor.
Which, as I understand it, is sub-let by the BBC so I wonder if the investment / reconfig of lease could be something related to that.
Did both Calendar and Look North (Leeds) come live from Sheffield tonight, since the city is hosting the England-Sweden Women's Euro semi final?

Look North (Leeds) certainly did. I'm not sure if both or just Calendar South were live from Sheffield. It seems to be a crossover area for both Calendar editorial regions.
Calendar had reporters at two locations in Sheffield (the fan park and Bramall Lane) but didn’t present live from there.

This being the case on the Emley Moor/North version by the way
Another occasion when going back to the studio for the rest of the news would have been better than Amy trying to present about the rail strike etc from the OB surrounded by a crowd. I'm surprised it wasn't accompanied by comments etc from the crowd.

There's almost certainly somebody sitting in the studio ready to take over if the OB goes down, it makes little sense not to use them.

Looking at the recording of Calendar South on the ITV News website, Calendar went pan-regional after the weather and had a pre-rec package and a live from Bramall Lane.
Tonight on Granada Reports we saw the last weather report from John Mitchell. When does John retire from Calendar as he will be missed?
