On talk tv at 1 news presenter Emily rose adams stood in Downing Street doing her summary of the days events so far being drowned out by both the Downing Street noise as well as her bulletins quite loud backing music which seems even louder as she’s not at London Bridge and possibly even needs to hear it to some degrees plus those communicating in her ear as well - but it’s the first time since talk tv started that’s she’s been allowed out - out of interest how many organisations are allowed to broadcast from Downing Street- who has the right to, do they have to book and does a broadcaster always get the same spot etc.

This is where those "watch it on iPlayer" trailers for programmes that have already aired could come in useful. However many news specials end up airing content that is already on iPlayer is going nowhere.

On a related note currently on the iPlayer guide for tonight the BBC News at Six is scheduled for 6pm to 6.50pm, with a shorter regional news bulletin from 6.50 to 7.10pm. The BBC News at Ten is also extended to be 45 minutes long.

Once again the ladies' football will wrap on BBC Two facilitating an on-time start for the Ten.

The BBC News at 6 will be extended to 18:50 with 20 mins for the regions and a later than billed start for the football at 19:10.

Question Time is being broadcast live on BBC iPlayer at 8pm but then broadcast at the usual time on BBC1 (well not quite, 10:55PM)

As you can see, CNN and MSNBC took the helicopter shots that BBC News and ITV News had so they must've been pool/agency.

They were being fed live by EBU - and probably Reuters / AP, although their main feeds were on the Downing Street camera at that point.

Bad timing, as exactly at that time The Mirror's Pippa Crerar reporting that one of the reasons why Boris wants to stay on as caretaker is to hold a wedding bash at Chequers.

I'm not a regular Talk TV viewer, but I've actually really enjoyed their coverage the past couple of evenings. As it's not a very visual story and prime talking head fodder, it's really played to their strengths.

Piers Morgan's views on this story are much less divisive than usual, so I've found him entertaining rather than controversial - and the likes of Tom Newton Dunn, Kate McCann and Adam Boulton give the coverage real journalistic credibility.

Combine that with Erron Gordon's creative brilliance and, all in all, it's been a slick, entertaining alternative to the BBC and Sky. I have to say I'm really looking forward to their 4-10pm marathon today.
