The on screen captions look so mushy in SD
Had it not been for Wimbledon I'm sure the 3pm grilling would have got a slot on BBC1 or BBC2.   Indeed short sighted perhaps of ITV or especially C4 not to capitalise on the BBC being tied up by doing something themselves.

Indeed did C4 do anything more than a 5 minute summary at lunchtime?

Not sure why you think anyone other than news junkies like yourself would want to see the 3pm grilling. There's no commercial benefit for ITV or Channel 4.
It goes beyond news junkies today though, plus the PSB value is there for C4.

I agree for ITV though it probably would not be Tenable to air Boris Johnson at his Tipping Point ahead of The Chase to replace him.

How long did you spend working on that?   Cool

Sky News are past masters of this kind of coverage and again they’re doing a great job.

Both Court 1 quarterfinal matches at Wimbledon have wrapped up so that gives the BBC the ability (if they want) to bump the main coverage to BBC Two.

It’s over on Two tonight anyway, BBC One evening sessions ended on Sunday at the end of the 4th round

Been listening to LBC who were playing a nice montage of quotes from resignation letters... and another one happened!

An extraordinary day of politics. History in the making

I've been enjoying (if that's quite the right word) LBC's coverage more than any of the TV channels' coverage. That's as far off topic as I'm going!

Current domestic scene, Wimbledon on TV with no sound, LBC on audio system

Yep. Point though is a potential logjam scenario of needing to use BBC Three or Four in the event of QF matches on both courts still being played has been avoided. Hence, there can be a 'simple' bump.

And for BBC to do it would be Pointless.
And poor Today at Wimbledon thought it would be safe tonight.

BBC News at Six is being simulcast on BBC World News, the regional headline was replaced by a generic BBC World News tease.
GB News are extending Farage to 9pm.

Are BBC 1 really going to stick with the football tonight is Boris Johnson resigns or is forced out this evening?
