BBC Wales Today and ITV Wales News

Impressive that they managed to put a fully Gill Sans BBC Sport logo on the desk in that studio, considering they didn’t move into Central Square until after the Reith BBC Sport logo had debuted!

Even more impressive when you realise the logo is interchanged for other programmes so is not permanent

I like how that studio is lit, so you can change it from looking from the corporate BBC Sport look to their studios to how S4C branding is.
So what do we reckon the upcoming tweaks to the studio are? A couple of monolithic screens?
Perhaps the new desk, or a repositioning of the desk. If they have "monolithic screens" I can see them being done via AR.

I get now though how people described Studio B as being along the lines of Wales Today, but also being quite different.

When did ITV Wales gain this additional set area for their showbiz interview segment?

It looks like it's actually a very neatly redressed version of the main set, perhaps with a few bits moved around. The rostrum is the same and you can see that the screens with the brick background on have black bars top and bottom, just like the normal set. Nicely done!

Good lord above! Gary Owen is anchoring BBC Wales Today at 6.30.

I’ve not seen him in I can’t remember how long!

Surely there must be staffing issues. No offence to Gary Owen of course but he’s always anchored Newyddion and not Wales Today.
I know he does shorter bulletins but the main evening programme is a first. is he still on Newyddion these days?

I can’t watch Newyddion on catch up unless someone knows how, although TMK he’s not presented Newyddion for years. Quite the surprise.

I've been able to find it when I've searched. How peculiar! Thanks for brightening my day.  Smile

Do we know if the regions are gonna get new desks like the one in Studio B?
