Just watching Sport Today that virtual studio looks impressive.

I'm unsure I've understood correctly. Is the following correct?

The space hitherto occupied by the primary Sport set will ultimately be the home of a new shared Sport/Breakfast set? (What will happen in the current Sport secondary set space?)

NWT's new main home will be in what has hitherto been their Breakfast bulletins studio only?

In which case, will the space that has hitherto been the shared main Breakfast/NWT home cease to be a studio at all and revert to being office space?

Hearing rumours that the new set will go live on Monday... There is also some chit chat about a multiscreen handover at the end of the programme to hand to regions.

That will look good but I wish somebody at the BBC cared enough to acknowledge that just handing over to the regions isn't the slickest way to end a bulletin, especially with the associated pause on the news channel.

Nearly. 

Now: North West Breakfast opts in the edit suite. 
Sport in the old NW Breakfast space.
Sport green screen studio unchanged.
Breakfast and NWT in their current shared studio. 

Next year:
Breakfast and sport share. 
North West get their secondary space back. 
NWT daytime and lates still in their current studio.

Presumably the North West secondary space may still be used for the Sunday Morning (formerly Marr) news summary. I wonder if they'll decide to continue using the space for their Breakfast updates, or if they'll use their main studio as BBC Breakfast will no longer be using it. If nothing else retaining the secondary space as a studio does provide a backup for if/when one of the other studios is out of action (e.g. whenever NWT get a new set in future).

Does anyone know if there are plans to fit the new Breakfast/Sport space with camera tracks, or if it'll still have manually operated cameras?

Yikes, Victoria Derbyshire has certainly had her weetabix this morning. She’s live at the moment outside the Palace of Westminster giving it hard to conservative MPs. Not being entirely balanced I must say, (hard I know) but asking some great questions.

Did anyone see the random circular graphic, which had part of Downing st inside it, appear above the newsroom on Monday? I can't remember what time it was, but it was daylight and I think it was late morning. I could not post at the time due to being at work. It appeared at the top of the hour as the camera was moving across the newsroom.

The panel were on a bit of a Millbank media round - now on Sky News from their Westminster studio (but with Mark asking the questions from Osterley).

Never seen anything like that done before as part of a regular news bulletin.

A different shot in the opening of the sports bulletin earlier, looks like a panorama of Salford Quays? Rest of the bulletin used the second shot below. Looks quite good, guess it will move somewhere else when BBC Sport programming will need the secondary studio.

I think that's the BBC Sport generic VR studio, but has that element reminiscent of the newsroom set which certainly doesn't look out of place with the rest of the design.

The fact that BBC Sport can manage such a decent VR set for a temporary relocation just makes it all the more infuriating when BBC News spends a few hours in Studio A. It's just leagues apart. And not all of it can be justified by newer technology - it's the little details in the Sport set that make it clear that somebody has spent a great deal of time trying to make it look as much like a physical space as possible.
