Home and Away recapped post titles until 2000 I think, when it moved to being done under a bed pre-titles. This is when the "underwater" credits came in.

Looks like we're seeing scenes filmed after the announcement as in yesterdays UK episode (29th April) Edward Skylover, the person behind the save Neighboours petition was namedropped by Chloe in one of the fashion week scenes.

Kind of fascinating, as I imagine 10 or certainly 20 years ago if Neighbours had ended then, no way would Kylie have returned.

23 returnees have been announced today for the finale episodes:

In Ireland, Rte will air the final Neighbours episode on Rte2 on the 3rd August 2022.
So 2 days behind the UK and Australia. I suspect (and Rte probably suspect too) that most viewers in Ireland will be watching on Channel 5 anyway.

Guy Pearce is the latest to reprise his role for the finale:

I wonder what the continuity announcement will be for that last edition, on Channel 5. For the last edition of "High Road" on STV, the announcer said "And now on STV, the very last edition of High Road". It may well be something like that they elect to say.

I would imagine Channel 5 has a documentary planned for that night and I wouldn't be surprised if the final episode is shown in primetime alongside it.

Apparently down under the final episode is down to run as a 90 minute edition so looks like they'll stick it on 10. Whether it airs like that here or is split into three 30 minute episodes remains to be seen. It's an odd one for C5 because in some ways they won't want to draw attention to it, but the nostalgia clip shows work really well for them so it's something they could and probably should capitalise on.

Probably will run in a slightly shorter slot here then.

Isn't the UK ahead of Australia? Are you sure they're not just showing the last three episodes as a triple bill so that it finishes on the same day as in the UK? They've already been showing them as double bills haven't they?

I believe its from Monday 13th that double bills begin on 10Peach to catch up with the UK. The final episode will air on 10PEACH and C5. Its already been reported that the main 10 channel has snubbed showing the final so sadly Neighbours will end (limp out) on Peach.

TV Tonight have had interviews with 10 bosses last week which though don't confirm very much imply the finale will be on the main channel.
