Any keen-eyed viewers watching TalkTV yesterday – unlikely – will have spotted a familiar face lurking behind guest Simon Calder during Mike Graham’s broadcast: TalkRADIO presenter-turned GB News host, Patrick Christys. It turns out Calder was Zooming in for his live TalkTV appearance from… the GB News green room.
Throughout his appearance on the show, multiple GB News producers and staff took the opportunity to wander behind Calder and make cameo appearances on the rival channel. Unfortunately for TalkTV, borrowing their more popular competitor’s studio for a few minutes didn’t convince many viewers to stick around. Last night TalkTV averaged 18,400 viewers during prime time, with GB News getting 71,700 and Sky News dropping back to third* place with 69,000…

Interesting that it's been picked up by Guido - but it's hardly a big story!
Simon Calder is essentially 'the' travel commentator and he regularly appears on BBC, Sky News and This Morning etc.

His outgoing answerphone starts 'yes I'll do it'

These constant Guido reports about TalkTV's decline are tiresome. They're all covering the same niche base of people and while GBN has done slightly better, it's still tiny.

Are you just cutting and pasting Guido updates now. His protege works at GB and he has a (quite an entertaining) vendetta against Piers Morgan. I'm sure users can find their own way to his Twitter account though?

He does it on DS as well where surprisingly their members seem to be more left of centre with regards to the coverage of GBN and Talk TV.
Piers ran for the whole hour tonight, no ad breaks during the show - as they were covering the Depp / Herd verdict.

The trouble is you know Piers will have an opinion on that and you also know you just don't have to hear it.
At least it prevented it being an hour on Harry and Meghan landing in the country.

Simon Calder is essentially 'the' travel commentator and he regularly appears on BBC, Sky News and This Morning etc. I don't know why people think we can sustain all these new news channel when the country only has one "travel expert" and one "money saving expert".

James Whale being very sarcastic about the (7-10pm) TV line up tonight. It’s fair to say he’s not a fan. Probably not happy about losing his second hour to a repeat of Morgan.

The 1am show with Darryl Morris started with a LiveU logo, presumably from the setup for Whale. Morris said they were trying to fix it and carried on with the show for a few minutes before the whole thing just fell off air and after a few minutes of a blank screen we now have a breakdown slide.

A good piece of analysis of the Piers Morgan show from Slate
"Morgan has gone from Good Morning Britain to good evening no one."... Piers Morgan appears doomed to the fate that terrifies him most.

James Whales show fell off the air at about 22:12 tonight. Audio dropped then the video froze and it went to that same holding caption you’ve posted for a few minutes. He’s then back but unable to get guests or phone calls on the air. He’s also got no talkback in his earpiece either.
Where is James doing his show from? I’d always assumed he wasn’t in the main studios in London as it always looks like he’s on a zoom call?

Home on Thursday and Friday, in the studio for the full three hour show on Saturday.
