BBC (Miscellaneous): 2021 Rebrand

They did a similar thing for the Winter Olympics, doesn't look the greatest, but still works rather well and in that context, it's hard to see it bieng done any other way.
BBC Music now using the new Reith blocks logo and branding for Glastonbury, (source from @bbcglasto, @bbcpress still use old branding)

The new BBC logo is included in the titles for Top Gear. However the stage setup at TVC still has the TG branding with the old BBC logo.
Thought they'd have returned to the track studio by now.

Yeah, does anyone know why they haven't? Is TVC meant to be permanent now? It was originally just a stopgap solution because they weren't allowed an audience in the middle of lockdown... I think Dunsfold suits the show far better.

I read that Dunsfold was going to be demolished
Yeah, this article last year says it was to be sold to developers.

Wow. I didn't know Dunsfold was being demolished for new housing. The number of units being built on that site is quite a large number.
Looks like we finally might be seeing the animated icons on TV…

Is it only BBC Sport, Weather and the kids channels left to sort out the logo on screen?

Politics Live and the regional political programmes are still using the old logo. Also BBC Parliament - so I’m guessing the politics department hasn’t been Chameleoned yet.

Clean Feed has just announced that the identifiers will start to appear on BBC TV channels from this Saturday
I feel quite strongly that they got this the wrong way round, and it would have helped with the rolling out of the identifiers as app icons had the TV 'pointers' started using the icons first (or, at least, at the same time as the app roll out). That way, the new icons wouldn't have seemed quite so 'odd' and I've seen a bit of backlash to them online. Of course, you'll always get a bit of that with such a radical change of logos (for the apps) but I do think that the consistency of approach would have helped familiarity.

But it comes back to the usual criticism of this roll-out - what is being put on screen is great, but the roll-out itself seems very slow and unsteady and therefore isn't showing everything off to its best. When it's all in place (and I accept that it very nearly is now, once these identifiers are in play) then it will be fab.

I still wish that where we will be from Saturday (identifiers used on screen, new BBC One idents, the News using the new logo, the new app icons in use) could have been turned on from the get-go in October. But I understand that the BBC is a large organisation and operationally it is quite challenging to do that, as we've been told by insiders. At least we are ending up in a very good place when it comes to BBC branding.
“First they came for the theme tune, and I did not speak out"
Agree it should have been the case from the offset but have never bought the "too big to do on one day" excuse. Virtually all the delays have been a decision rather than not being an option for day 1. I don't think we'll see anything on Saturday that wasn't ready to go last autumn.
