Could you please make your posts a bit more legible. I had trouble reading that.
Thank you.

But they all ignore the fact non of them are likely or really exist to make a profit. LBC can probably only spend the big money thanks to the success of Global’s other brands, likewise Talk TV with News UK. And we know GB News was set up for largely ideological reasons, by rich backers getting money out of their back pockets. They can all continue to exist if their owners are prepared to take the hits, but I largely agree with Steve’s post and the audience alone probably won’t sustain most of these.
LBC works for Global politically - they've been able to lobby for major dereg on the Capital, Heart and Smooth networks but can say "Look, we're giving you a national news and talk station!"
Talk have owners who can afford to play the long game.
GB News is probably the most vulnerable here.
I think it's one of the reasons why Murdoch now has Times Radio as the credible mainstream speech station alongside TalkTV for the Sun demographic as his newspaper sales dwindle along with his influence in the UK.
It helps for Global that they're willing to invest in actual talent off and on-air to make sure LBC works and is influential in the Westminster Bubble, which is no mean feat considering the only other real choice for politicians is to go on the Today Programme on Radio 4.
LBC made a profit of £3m in 2021, so it's no longer a drain on Global's resources, despite the heavy staffing required compared to a sister music station.
Not sure why, but my Sky+ Box hasn’t picked up tonight’s Piers Morgan Uncensored on series link. Under the scheduled recordings tab it says it’s “looking for the next episode in the series” - so not even going to resume recording tomorrow…
To be honest, I’ve started to get a bit bored with it so maybe the box has done me a favour! But not a good omen if this is a more general issue?

TV is dead and millennials and Gen Z kids are watching and sharing Piers’ extremely compelling show on Snapchat or whatever.
I wonder when we’re going to see behind the scenes changes on this show, given we’re a month in now.

Totally agree. But I've always felt LBC is there more as a strategic weapon. When you're providing a credible commercial competitor to Radio 4 and 5Live's news/factual operations it's a lot easier to push through dereg on the music networks. And of course, there's another economy of scale here - thanks to the various news teams at the regional hubs for the music networks they have all regions much better covered than GBN or Talk when it comes to "regional reporters."

I don't quite know how Sky works when it comes to series linking content - but just to add further onto this... I notice you cannot series link any of the shows on TalkTV (which clearly wasn't the case, as I had done Uncensored in the past). Whereas GB News does still let you, for example.
There's also no listings for TalkTV after 5am next Monday, on Sky or Freeview.

Interesting. On Virgin Media, it lists James Max for 5am next Monday, but from 6am onwards, it's listed as "To Be Announced". Whether it means anything or not at this point,m it's difficult to say, but it's interesting.

Have Sky censored it?
Piers must be due a holiday by now surely.

Next week is half term so would fit with his GMB holiday pattern.

LBC has managed both to be a radio 4 equivalent while also keeping listeners who would be more tempted by talk Radio. It’s Twitter Feed has become more like the later through with plenty of articles about culture war type stories usually written in tabloid type language rather than how BBC or Sky websites would write the story.
Sharon Osbourne back in the studio for The Talk tonight.

I don't see much point to keeping her for The Talk. That show is probably never going to get big ratings anyway but it can still function without it's 'big name' presenter who no doubt costs a decent amount of money so surely it's a no-brainer to just continue it with the other panelists?

He’s not heading off to France for the summer, is he?
TalkTV/Radio, covering tonight’s breaking news from the States. With press conferences from the United States. ‘Breaking News’ scrolling behind the presenter and a breaking news ticker on screen, with text that’s slightly too big for the graphic.
It’s a wonder they’ve not crossed over to Fox News like Sky used to. They have a London based American broadcaster in the studio now. Having a live overnight show certainly allows them to react this kind of thing.
