That said, both The Chase and Beat The Chasers on the same day doesn't offer much variety for viewers and is almost as lazy as having a Saturday night edition of a daytime show.

The £1000 questions seem much tougher than usual tonight.
That snooker question an example of the stinkers. Not once in snooker have I heard them refer to "object balls". That was more of a £32k+ question on Millionaire - the opening question here should be general knowledge, not specific knowledge.

Literally coming to say the same thing! I’ve really struggled with most of the first round questions tonight. Wonder why they’ve made them tougher

The annoying thing about these cut and paste edits is you know the wins come at the end. In both cases too despite Bradley saying they took exactly tge right offer they could both have gone at least one higher, even factoring in the extra Chaser.

How was Issa with the OG Chasers and in general?

He was there, he was fine. Unremarkable either way, in my view.
Agreed, re: some of the questions. The snooker one was far too hard for a first question, and seemed as though it was mainly included so that Bradley would have to say 'pendulous balls' in the hopes of prompting another Fanny Chmelar moment.

The opening questions seemed a bit more standard today - generally quite guessable even if you didn't know.

Have to say I quite like Issa but I do wonder if he'd struggle if he were to do an episode of the normal Chase as there would be questions which are quite UK specific that even your average British contestant wouldn't have the foggiest. Was interesting to find out that he's originally from St Truro in Cornwall but moved over with his family to Australia when was 11.
Would love to see Tiger Mum, Goliath or The Shark guest on either The Chase or Beat The Chasers. Perhaps an Ashes type spin-off could be possible with Bradley and his Chasers take on Larry and his Chasers

They just swot up on what they don't know. I doubt Anne was too clued up on Australian pop culture, which to most Brits is Neighbours, Home and Away and Kylie, before taking on the role down there but it would be in their nature to absorb what info they can.
The win rate seems a bit higher on BTC too - roughly 40% here compared to around 20% on the daytime version.
