With bbc weather in chameleon style have they sorted out the bbc weather on tv screen?

Not that I’ve seen.

I don't think any of those icons are ever supposed to appear on TV.

Like others have said, I think the 'sun' icon is just for the app, but the weather on TV still uses the old blocks (at least on the NC).

The icon in the Play store has updated, however there doesn't appear to have been a update to the app yet.

Well that's weird. I'm seeing an updated icon now, but it's NOT the sun symbol, it's just the word WEATHER Reithed with the old BBC logo!

Looks like an update has just landed in the Play store this afternoon, at least for my version of Android. One update later and I'm now seeing the new icon on my mobile.

Thing is, it also has the old pre-2013 ITV logo.

BBC iPlayer's logo has sort of updated on PS5. If you look for it in the App Store, it has the new BBC logo; if you have it downloaded however, the old logo is still there in the library.

At least that was a logo actually used by ITV, albeit nearly 10 years out of date.

The BBC logo has some odd font, that's clearly not Gill Sans or Reith.

I find it that TV2 Norway, AVROTROS, Radio France, and ARMTV has their recently changed logos there, but not RBB, ARD, France Medias Monde, LRT, Suspilne (probably for rollout reasons), Rai (square should be darker), Sveriges Radio, and EO. I could put TVP up there, but they are quite confusing when it comes to their branding.

The website now has updated the BBC and ITV logos.


While ITV logo still being recognisable despite coloured white "t", EBU still refused to "recognise" the 2021 BBC logo in Reith typeface as the "legitimate" official logo. Maybe, BBC didn't informed EBU about the launch of new logo last year, so the EBU used 1997 logo using Gill Sans font.

Considering how quickly they changed them after the post, I wonder if we have someone from the EBU in here ?
