I don’t think GB News has ever put a 15 minutes as impressive as this first 15 minutes. It’s engaging, looks like proper TV and is visually pleasing.

I must say that the OTS graphic and Live tag are rather distracting. Aside from that, the graphics are very Fox News-y. Nothing amazing, but nothing to really complain about.

I have enjoyed watching the past few minutes, but I do have to wonder if any changes will have been made to the style of old talkRADIO programming. Otherwise, I'm not sure I'm likely to be tuning in often.

I'm impressed with the way it looks. The graphics are slick, the way it moves between the studio, a reporter & other material was a nice slide/swipe. It's obvious that they haven't gone in cheap on the technical side of it - like GB News did (hard not to compare when they have both launched in the last 12 months!).

Away from that, I am not really enjoying Tom Newton Dunn's presentation. He's never done TV, and only really a sort stint on Radio as he was the political editor at The Sun for the bulk of his Murdoch career. Feels like they should've enticed an experienced news anchor across for this, if it is indeed going to be a straight news show.

Welcome back early 2000s Sky News! All very professional and has a good pace to it so far.

The format of the programme is very impressive so far. A very professional and so far informative show - a stark contrast to GB News's talking heads, which is in my view all opinion and no fact.

This appears to be very factual, and less opinionated.

Presentation wise, I think Murdoch got what he wanted. Big, brash Fox News graphics with an oversized channel logo.

The News Desk appears to be TalkTV's answer to the old Fox Report with Shep Smith at least in this part of the programme, although there appears to be a panel discussion later in the bulletin.

For those watching on linear platforms, is there a commercial break as on YouTube there's a loop of photos and times for the other presenters.

They've managed to do split TV and Radio ads from the off. I don't think you can expect any better than that.

Only slight issue is the swooshes from the graphic's sound a bit strange when listening to the radio feed.

Yes, ads on TV. All graphics removed.

Have to say I'm impressed with the look of it. Very GMB/American feel to it. Very polished.

I wonder why they'd put a news show on at 7pm though? There's already news on ITV, C4 and all the rest.

Hold your horses, someone on tonight who could change that. Big Grin

I was very skeptical of the Fox News look in the previews, but I have to say I do like the brashness especially when considering most UK channels have lost it. Almost all actually. Sky News was the last one to have it fully like Talk TV does. So far so good. You have me as a viewer. It wins over GB news easily.

The clock graphic reminds me of the Chase USA graphics.

Very American, but a lot slicker and generally polished than GBN. Letting GBN go ahead and make the mistakes they've made is, arguably, a shrewd move. Rupert's always been a man for the long game, but it appears he's bided his time and I think that'll pay off.

I've switched to the TalkRadio feed now and unlike GB News Radio, it doesn't sound like someone has faded up the tv audio. The mics sound excellent and the show seems to work well for radio.
