Pre-Launch News UK to launch talkTV in 2022
With certain exceptions, Sky's rules revolve around the channel broadcasting "continuous non-repeating programming between the hours of 7pm and 10pm each day", exceptions including a different time for childrens channels (plus exemptions for shopping, religion and adult channels) and time shift channels, but also: "television channels are exempt from complying with the non-repeating programming requirements during Peak Broadcast Hours where the broadcaster of the relevant television channel has legitimate scheduling reasons for not complying with the requirements based on its intention to optimise its channel’s overall performance provided that programming is broadcast on the relevant channel continuously during its Peak Broadcast Hours."

The rules just ensure that each channel broadcasts during the peak broadcasting hours.

I don't think TalkTV is going to lose its EPG place.

Tomorrow's Sun newspaper leads with the Piers interview with Trump, so the News UK press machine is going all in for the TalkTV launch.

And rolling in the Trump interview with a Harry & Meghan 'bombshell'.  All so predictable and boring from Morgan.

Sharon Osbourne was given a feature interview in The Sunday Times. It was very long, so I only read a bit of it. Her life was presented as chaotic as ever, and I got the impression she might be a bit of a liability as a presenter! (my personal opinion, of course).

They are also running banner ads featuring Piers and the slogan "Love him or Loathe him?"...
Talk TV is also running a 30 second TV ad for Piers' show:

Wonder how long the ridiculous scheduling of James Whale's 10pm-1am show being interrupted by a repeat if Morgan at 11pm will last?
I'm just wondering, how many Britons want to see an interview of Trump? I guess maybe a few hundred thousand? I guess there wasn't much else they could launch with though.

For context, GB News had a two hour slot average of 156,500 for Farage's version.   The first hour of the interview was reported to be 208,500.   Morgan has had blanket coverage including front pages of Murdoch titles.

Are you sure James Whale isn't now down to 1 hour? Which is then repeated at midnight?

James Whale is on Thursday - Saturday 10pm - 1am.

But on Thursday & Friday at 11pm it's Piers Morgan Uncensored repeat.  Is that for TV only and does James Whale continue on the radio?

James is now a 60 minute show from Thursday to Saturday at 10pm.   The overnight show starts at midnight from now on.

I don't know what they're doing from 11-midnight on Friday and Saturday evenings. It may well be a best of Piers.

Friday nights is a repeat of the Best of Piers - but there doesn't appear to be anything breaking up James Whale on a Saturday.

Weekend overnights appears to only be starting at 1am (presented by Darryl Morris) with the 10pm show only being 2 hours on a Sunday.

Farage or Neil? The figure I found for Neil on the launch night was 157,000 (which 156,500 rounds to).

The number for Farage seems to be 107,000 (these are average not peak) for his first show.

I don't mind Sharon but I think the fact her last couple of chat shows failed should be the hint she's not a draw. The Talk as in the CBS version was different in that she was one of many.
