TV Live Forum Welcome back
#1
Hello, and welcome back to TV Live Forum.

I know I've said that quite a few times recently, but hopefully, I won't have to say it again.

Please read this thread, as it will contain important information, and I don't wish to repeat myself.

---

1. What's been carried over?
All existing posts and accounts have been transferred from the old place.

2. What's not been carried over?
Passwords have not been transferred over, so you will need to reset your password at the login screen.

Kudos and Gallery ratings have NOT been transferred. The kudos feature is currently unavailable, but it will be available very soon. You'll also need to update your profile with your region & streaming service information as well as your avatar.

3. Why does the site look so plain?
The priority today was getting the forum back online, not to worry about how it looks. In time, work will be done to improve the look of the site, but for now, please be thankful that the forum is working.

4. Where's the kudos function?
The kudos function isn't available at the moment.

5. Where are the forum rules?
For the moment, the rules are offline, but I will put them online over the weekend. In the meantime, please use common sense whilst posting.

6. I've lost my verified status, will I get it status back?
If you haven't got your verified status (blue username), it will return to you in due course. For some reason, when the forum transfer happened, everyone who was verified ended up being banned. That should now be resolved.

7. I was banned, can I rejoin the forum?
No.

8. How do I quote a post?
Click on the tick box next to a post, then go down to the quick reply box. You'll see a message that says "You have selected one or more posts to quote. Quote these posts now or deselect them." Click on Quote these posts now to add the quote to your comment. You can then edit the quote at your convenience.

I hope that this covers the majority of things I need to mention at this time. New features to the forum will be announced in due course.

In the meantime, may I politely request that you don't ask me to make any changes to the layout of the forum at this time? I know it's not going to look perfect to start with, but as I've said, the priority was to get the forum open again.

Thanks again for your continued support. Let's do it...

Hello!

Rob, thank you - as ever - for the time and effort you put into the site. I mean I’m sure the millions you make help… oh, wait…

Have a lovely Easter weekend!

Hopefully we won't be getting signed in as other members any more. I was signed in as 4 different members yesterday!

Well done Rob. Thanks for your work.

I'm not really sure changing the entire forum software was necessary, and this new look will take a lot of getting used to. Hope it's the right decision long term.

Hi Rob,
Will post subscriptions/notifications get transferred over from the old forum software?
I’m currently going through latest posts trying to find any I followed.

Cheers

Thanks for all your hard work Rob. Just remember, it's not possible to please everyone, but the majority of members here, including myself, are appreciative of all that you do. The software switch can't have been an easy decision, but you have made a great job of it.

Switching off the 'old' forum yesterday evening, and having the new one up and running the next day, complete with all members, threads and posts is remarkable, and it's clear that you worked very hard overnight to make this happen.

No need to rush to add anything more. The core functions of the forum are working, and everything else can wait. Hope you are able to take some well earned downtime over the weekend, and have a great Easter. Best wishes. Smile

It was a very tough decision to make, but it was necessary in order to keep the forum going. I would have given up otherwise.

A total of 6 hours work on it, which was fun after working a 12 hour day at work. Worth it in the end...

Thanks for getting the site online.
Genuinely enjoy reading it. Appreciate it must take a good chunk of your time.

Do you have a patreon/tips site where I can buy you a virtual beer?
