Saturday Night Takeaway

Although there has been a fair amount of Twitter users not realising it’s a joke.
I’m not sure there needs to be press coverage, that isn’t really the point

There was only press coverage last time because the tabloids pay people to watch ITV daytime so they can write half a dozen stories every day about stuff being thrown into chaos.

I thought the challenge previously was to try and say or do what the cue card said relatively seamlessly without it raising too many suspicions.

Today's antics included obviously fake sneezing, speaking whilst eating and announcing going to the toilet. It just wasn't funny for listeners, but I guess the aim is to make SNT viewers laugh.

She was on The One Show a few months ago and equally good value, she is always very amusing in interviews and when she's being herself. But I wouldn't recommend watching Line of Duty if you're after a similar performance, really.

If that is what's going on then it does seem strange that a BBC Radio station would essentially sabotage its output for a day to help make the content of an ITV programme
But it wasn’t for a day - at a most it was ten minutes across the day, and in return they’ll get a load of free promo on ITV.

Totally agree, it’s great targeted promo for the younger end of the Radio 1 target audience (and the older part too I guess! ?)
Alan Partridge, in reference to Kiddie-Oke:
"With what you're paying them, they'll be better off working for that ferry company that you said I'm not allowed to mention because of ITV guidelines!"

They're both women and that trumps regionality; ITV guidelines
I wonder if Alan Partridge recognised the person playing Florence Nightingale.
Look at all those BBC logos, surprised they've not blurred or covered them up. ?
The Radio 1 On Air Dares have translated really well on TV, as there’s plenty of more visual dares.
Surprisingly good "pretend" graphics for each of the Radio 1 shows, nice idea to what it could look like on TV.

It was brilliant. My favourite item of the series so far.

Okay, I partially take back my recent whinge, as that was pretty funny on TV!

I think Greg did do best though as he vaguely tried to weave it in rather than just say one odd thing after another. That was mainly down to the order of the cue cards though.

It's all the funnier knowing how often R1 presenters complain about food and drink being strictly banned in the studios!
That Make or Break question was harder than usual!

Much easier I thought, they’re usually 50:50 guesses if you hadn’t happened to read the story in the week. With this sort of question it was obviously going to be the highest otherwise they’d be diminishing the achievement.
