BBC World News: October 2021 onwards

I find it a little strange you think countdowns are rustled up in a matter of hours. Firstly do you realise how many countdowns there are, and how long they take to produce? Come on, give them a break. The war only started 4 weeks ago. I think producing a countdown almost entirely dedicated to one story in the time they did it is pretty damn impressive. It's still being edited as the war rolls on. You'll have noticed the most recent change with Lyse Doucet not facing the camera rather than the side shot.

Regarding Jon Sopel, I guess I should have said that he moved on Global together with Emily Maitlis. My apologies.

I never mentioned that Steve Rosenberg's clip on the BBCWN countdown was included in the special "Ukraine countdown". I've observed that BBCWN seems to be using two types of countdown, which are the general countdown (where they replaced Sopel's clip during the last 8 seconds with Rosenberg) and the "Ukraine countdown" (which uses the BBC News channel countdown music).

First time Luxmy Gopal has appeared on a World Only bulletin not bad at all from Leeds to the world a rapid promotion!
The big screen beside Nuala McGovern was showing a blank red screen in C. It came up before the close at the end of the bulletin and the weather.
Branded shows are back although they had a recorded bulletin from the previous hour then came world business report with Samantha Simmonds.
They just played out a dateline London trailer with the old bbc world news logo with the live the story tag at the bottom like how can that even happen.

It's actually very easy for that to happen. Most of the graphics you see on TV these days are created using templates. Some templates contain default items in them that, should a piece of schedule data for an asset or similar be incorrect then it will revert to what was originally in the template. I know that the templates for the promos on BBC World News were originally built in the Live the Story branding era - so it's likely that something in the template was wrong and it defaulted to the original item in the template.
And no, there's nobody previewing or looking at these before they go out live as each tx is rendered live in the playing transmission area at the time of tx.
Just a question, I noticed that BBC World News is still being carried by Pay TV providers here in the Philippines in 14:9 Letterboxed format (4:3 SD).

I would like to ask when do they plan to shut down that feed and let Pay TV operators use the HD feed, like CNN, Al Jazeera and France 24?
I see Yalda has already lost her Impact show after one day now it’s just bbc world news.

They are simulating again this afternoon, first half hour anyway with Yalda in E.
Live with Lucy H and Global with Matthew A both aired though.

Correct, Yalda in E matches up to Chris’s post. She got her airtime, and how pleased the UK audience were. ;-)
Am i to assuming Chris's post is in correlation as to why Weekend's haven't gone back to normal yet either.
When did Context become The Context?
