Cancellation of entertainment got me an offer of £3.99 a month for six months today.

They gave me 6 months of entertainment and Sky Cinema for about £5.99 and £6.99 respectively. Now gets really pushy with their cancellation process until they give you an offer for the next six months.

My family uses Now a lot especially for Cinema but with the rising costs a good discount doesnt hurt anyone.

Yes - I suspect people will be looking far more closely at what they're spending on these services in the months ahead, especially with many increasing prices at a time when people are conscious of rising prices.

First sign of what could be National Geographic leaving pay-TV, it's leaving the NOW streaming service (which carries the channel, and BT TV uses it), it will be replaced with Alibi.

It's already been removed today, with Alibi being added in the process. 

The on-demand content is still available for the rest of the day. Can't say I would miss Nat Geo much as I only watched it for Air Crash Investigation, much of its content is on Disney+ as well. I believe it's now at the mercy of Disney having to ride out a carriage deal and then eventually closing it altogether, much like with Fox and the Disney channels.

Sky won't be dramatically affected anyway, as they have four documentary channels in their portfolio and are the middlemen for Disney+ when traditional TV platforms are accounted for.

Alibi took at least 3-4 minutes to switch from SD to 1080p on the Amazon Fire TV Cube using the NOW app. Compared to Gold, that switched to 1080p in less than 10 seconds.

No word if this was mentioned, but the German equivalent of NOW, Sky Ticket, has been renamed WOW. The change aligns the brand to the other NOW services in the UK and Italy, but the name was chosen to not conflict with RTL+, whose former name was TVNOW, leading Sky to retain the Sky Ticket name for a while (but eventually taking on most of NOW's corporate identity in the last few months); even with the renaming, the TVNOW trademarks (including the NOW! and NOWUS streaming channels) are still owned and used by RTL.
