ITV News Changes from March

The News at When era was certainly tick box. It changed overnight from being at the core to being an outlet for promoting showbiz news and ITV shows, the regions were even worse, including London Tonight which from 2004 became nothing more than a showbiz outlet.
The Evening News has been constantly strong though throughout the period.

Don't know if the other regions did anything but on Border, the Lookaround team had quite an in-depth interview with Mary about the extended evening news which was nice to see.

Same with Anglia. Pre recorded inserts.

As per usual, I switched my telly on cica 17:50 or so awaiting the regional news.

They've obviously re-jigged how they do the commercial breaks during the 5pm hour, as the final section of The Chase (closing credits, bingo sponsorship and all) went all the way up to something like 17:59:30.

After the final Gala Bingo sponsorship at the very end of The Chase, we went straight to the usual menu promoting tomorrow's 6am-1:30pm schedule and then the regional ident opts at 18:00:00.

Dunno whether the former 17:55 regional news promo now occurs earlier during the final break within The Chase, or has been ditched. If the former, then I wonder if the 17:30-ish regional news promo has also been moved to an earlier break?
MISLEADING HEADLINE "MAKES YOU READ ARTICLE", SAYS NAKED MILEY CYRUS.
Same with Calendar as well and it looks like the weather will be presented in the studio.
Unusually, we also had a quick interview with Mary on STV News (Central).
Mary has had a busy day, an appearance on This Morning, then pre-recording about a dozen different interviews for the regions, and that’s before the new hour long programme
The interview has just aired on Tyne Tees, after a short report/promo with previews presumably from rehersals (quite a hiccup though, a freeze-frame of Mary from the interview for a few seconds, followed by Ian haying hello to Mary before crashing into that promo).

Minor set changes by the looks of it, the biggest I could see being the large screens, being "supported" by a more clear "wall", rather than the white and blue one - I wonder if this is going to be carried over to the other bulletins.
Did ITV London do anything?
I'm sure it's already been discussed in this thread, but I'm quite surprised they didn't have two presenters so they would have someone to bounce off somewhat, and add in some lighter moments for the show.

That was unusual. Will have to see if it's a thing carried over the next few days or if it was just a one-off. Having watched the full episode of the Chase, I don't remember there being any regional news promos.
