I like it when they occasionally make use of the large video wall behind the presenters for something other than merely displaying the London backdrop.
Today, Laura is using it to show footage of how the bad weather has affected different parts of the country and to monitor the projected path of the further stormy weather to follow.
Could easily have been done from Laura's normal weather area, but I think it's always nice to see them mix it up a bit and make use of all of the resources at their disposal.
"Good evening. Dull, grey, cold, miserable - and that's just me. The weather hasn't been great, either."
I think it was also nice how Laura started off from the entertainment screens, then to the big screen then to her desk area, was a good use of the studio
I have to say the titles into Good Morning Britain this morning was a good, they changed the pictures for the up coming storm, also Ben & Kate gave a good news intro. Very different to the waffle intro
They mentioned a few times that there would be extended regional news during the show, however it felt like the usual standard time (the one around 8.20am which I seen).
The regions news seemed the same time, rushed headlines avert into the local weather, which was standard, then back to the show, I normally watch on my laptop on the hub which is always London ?♂️, so made the effort to go downstairs and put the telly on, got the local news but was the same rushed headline mush from Bristol ☹️?
According to this article GMB have given up trying to find a new presenter. Piers is irreplaceable and the rotation will continue indefinitely

Not surprising but the irreplaceable are always replaceable. They've essentially replaced him with Richard and Adil anyway. Just a shame really for the sake of appearances and having an "A-team" they couldn't work things out to move Ben up to the front of the week with Richard and Adil filling the back half, and then stepping in earlier in the week when Ben was off.

Friday’s programme was excellent in providing in depth analysis of the storm, talking to relevant guests (e.g. from the highways agency), had the correct focus on what people needed to know and an emphasis on the local bulletins.
I know that it was a special edition due to the weather, but it was a much better programme without any of the forced debates/discussions.
