Moving to Give Us A Clue, have there ever been clean versions of this theme known to anyone with out the applause? You can hardly hear the lyrics at the end due to the audience.

Err..
I'm sure Adil Ray and the production team of the UK version of Lingo airing weekday afternoons on ITV, would be delighted to be barged off the air, for the US version, for no apparent reason.

Our local version rates quite well in that slot. It got a 100+ episode recommission of the back of a successful short trail run last year, so there's no need to show another version, on the basis of the host.

Not sure anyone was suggesting it would have to replace the UK show. There are other time slots and channels/platforms. I don’t think it’s very likely that it would happen anyway, although I’m sure it won’t be difficult for people to find.

It sounds like it'll be primetime in the US so won't be many episodes. Not quite sure the format is quite right for primetime TBH, but on that note surely it is a question of when, not if, Celebrity Lingo is commissioned for ITV.

Considering ITV2 seem to have created a gameshow block around lunchtime (it’s currently Supermarket Sweep, Tipping Point Lucky Stars & Family Fortunes) and they run Catchphrase too. Plus they have a few American imports, I don’t think this version of Lingo is totally out of the question.

Especially, as has been said, their host does have appeal in the UK.

I think Celebrity Lingo is inevitable too, probably suits the 6pm slot on a Saturday quite well? Or maybe 7pm Sunday which has Sitting On A Fortune in before Christmas.
